The Kansas Senate passed Kansas Resolution 1716 on March 30, 2021 by unanimous consent with all 40 senators listed as sponsors! This resolution supports the expansion of the Heartland Flyer passenger train from Oklahoma City to Newton, Kansas to connect with the Amtrak Southwest Chief. This is the second year that resolutions have been passed in the Senate.
